Webinar invitation ‘Pathways for consensus-building’

Partners of the Global Forum for National SDG Advisory Bodies have conceptualized research on the value added of multi-stakeholder advisory bodies for sustainable development. Multi-stakeholder advisory bodies are governance mechanisms that foster social cohesion for transformational pathways by negotiating solutions for structural change and bridging knowledge and interests of various stakeholders. Furthermore, Global Forum has published a policy brief that summarizes the concrete contribution that national multi-stakeholder advisory bodies can provide in the delivery of the SDGs. It is based on the Global Forum study “Pathways for National Sustainable Development Advisory Bodies” and compiles insights from eight such bodies from all around the globe.

Speakers from more than seven such multi-stakeholder bodies will share insights and experiences on the various approaches, mechanisms and impulses that they set for delivering sustainable development policy making, as well as maintaining a fruitful and complementary relationship with responsible governments for implementation and reporting.
